    Description

    Oflox® DT disintegrating tablets contain active ingredient called Ofloxacin, a 2nd generation Fluoroquinolone.

    Indications:

    - urinary tract infections (bladder and kidney infections), including cystitis, pyelonephritis, urethritis;

    MOA (mechanism of action):

    By entering bacterial cells, Ofloxacin interferes with their DNA and destroys it. Furthermore, Ofloxacin prevents the bacteria from creating new genetic material. Ofloxacin is active against aerobic gram-positive microorganisms (Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes); aerobic gram-negative microorganisms (Citrobacter koseri (Citrobacter diversus), Enterobacter aerogenes, Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenzae, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Proteus mirabilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa); other microorganisms (Chlamydia trachomatis).
